you know you're a school psychologist when...

* you start using words like "discrepancy" or "cognitive abilities" in conversations with others not involved in education
* you look at kids in the grocery store and wonder if they're on the spectrum
* by june, you're mentally and emotionally exhausted, and wonder if even the summer will be able to heal you
* when september hits, you are ramped up to go, and start assessing student so you'll be on time with tri's due by the 30th.
* you read articles on the brain...for fun.
* you actually begin to understand what a "standard deviation," "confidence interval," and "cognitive processing (including association, expression, and conceptualization" disorder are.
* a student brings a 4" blade to school and you're already writing the threat assessment in your head.
